Hello Readers,
I’m delighted to announce that I’ll be partnering with Jorie at Jorie Loves A Story for a new blogging feature! After discussing our love for young adult books, we decided to center them over the summer. Every Wednesday from June through September we’ll share reviews, lists, discussions, and more for My YA Summer. You can follow this event on our blogs or on our socials: @joriestory and @wordwiilderness.
What Do I Have Planned?
For the rest of June, I’ll be reading and reviewing queer YA books for Pride Month. I have a review for Meet Cute Diary by Emery Lee planned for next week, and I hope to finish reviewing A Curse of Roses by Diana Pinguicha for the week after that. I’m also rereading Cemetery Boy’s by Aiden Thomas this month as a part of the Enchanted Reads Book Club (#EnchantedReadsBookClub on Instagram). If I end up writing a review for that book I might do an extra post this month.
During July I plan on catching up on a lot of the series I’m in the middle of reading, which means I’ll finally finish reading the last book of An Ember in the Ashes series by Sabaa Tahir. After that, I’ll probably talk about my favorite YA series and discuss my favorite and least favorite YA tropes.

For August I’ll be focusing on horror. I’ve been slowly getting into the genre for more than a year now, and I think it’s time I knock a few off my horror TBR. I also think YA isn’t the first thing people think of when they hear horror, so I’m excited to see what’s out there! At the end of the month, I’ll wrap up my posts from My YA Summer and decide whether this is a series I’d like to do next year.
In September I’ll be participating in my second year of Self-Published Fantasy Month! I’m not sure if any of the self-published fantasy on my TBR is YA, but I have plenty of time to find some :).
