What Kind of Books Do I Accept?
I only accept review requests for fantasy and sci-fi. I do read and post reviews of books outside of these genres, but I like to do so on my own terms.
I am generally not a fan of dystopian, apocalyptic, male-dominated, or grimdark novels. I am currently only accepting requests for adult fiction. I especially enjoy high fantasy, paranormal fantasy, romantic subplots, and political intrigue.

If you would like me to review your book, please contact me using this form, and provide a synopsis and link to further information. I also appreciate it if you include content warnings in your review request. I will get back to you as soon as I can.
I accept print copies, ebooks, and audiobooks. Please specify in your email if you require a review within a certain time period.
How Do I Rate and Review Books?
I’ve recently stopped providing starred ratings on my blog, but I still post starred reviews on Amazon, Goodreads, and The StoryGraph. I primarily rate and review books based on enjoyment. Characters are the most important part of the story for me. Poor writing and character development result in negative reviews.
Rating Scale:
- I didn’t like it.
- I finished the book and it was OK. Someone else may like it.
- I enjoyed it.
- This is a great book!
- I loved it! I will be thinking about this story long after I finish it.
I sometimes make exceptions for books that are very well executed even if I don’t enjoy them. For example, if I read a horror novel and feel distressed and sick, have nightmares, and afterward burn the book and bury the ashes, then it was probably very well written. 4 stars!
