Official Policy
- All opinions are my own. Any reviews published here are my honest opinion. You can find a guide to how I review books below.
- Books received in exchange for review will be stated as such.
- I reserve the right to decline review requests.
What Type of Books Do I Review?
I mainly review adult fantasy. I will occasionally branch out into horror, sci-fi, and romance – especially if these genres are combined with fantasy.
I tend to avoid very dark, hopeless stories.
How I Review Books
I no longer use a starred rating system on my blog. All of my reviews consist of general information about the book (like POV, pacing, LGBTQIA representation, etc..) and my opinion of the story and writing. For books that I receive in an exchange for a review, I will add a starred rating to platforms that use them (like Goodreads and The StoryGraph).
Where do I post my reviews?
My main platform is this blog. I also post reviews on the StoryGraph and Goodreads. Due to Amazon’s policy changes, I have had issues getting my reviews approved for books received in an exchange for a review. I no longer post my reviews on Amazon. If this changes in the future, I may start posting reviews on Amazon again.
