The Great Series Read Project

The Great Series Read Project

I will be tracking my progress for The Great Series Read Project on this page. Series are organized alphabetically by title.

Since I don’t review every book/series I read, I will include add a quick blurb/recommendation once I’ve finished the series.

Key

Italics – book title; anything that is not italicized is not a book.
Bold – Book I have read before, but didn’t review.
Blue + Underlined – Read and reviewed; click the title for review
Blank – Haven’t read before; need to read
xxx – Will be located between books if I decide to DNF a series (I’ll include an explanation for why I decided not to continue with the series below under the titles).

*I did not review the first book in The Drowning Empire series because I shared all of my thoughts on it through the Wyrd and Wonder read-along posts. The link will take you to the first discussion.

Discworld by Terry Pratchett

Tiffany Aching and the Nac Mac Feegles:
The Wee Free Men | A Hat Full of Sky | Wintersmith | I Shall Wear Midnight | The Shepherd’s Crown

Death:
Mort | Reaper Man | Soul Music | Hogfather | Thief of Time

***Because there are more than 40 books in the Discworld series, I will add the books by theme as I go through them

The Dragonrider Legacy by Nicole Conway

Savage | Harbinger | xxx | Legend

DNF due to: I have not read YA in years at this point and have no plans to revisit. Although I remember enjoying this series while I was reading it, I remember very little and feel I’ve outgrown the story.

An Ember In the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir

An Ember in the Ashes | A Torch Against the Night | A Reaper at the Gates | A Sky Beyond the Storm

*Review for whole series here

The Goblin Emperor by Katherine Addison

The Goblin Emperor | The Witness for the Dead

The City Born Great | The City We Became | **More books to come

The Green Bone Saga by Fonda Lee

Jade City | Jade War | Jade Legacy

Hollow Crown Zoraida Cordova

DNF due to: similar to The Dragonrider Legacy, I felt I outgrew this story by the time the sequel to Incendiary came out.

Inheritance Trilogy by N.K. Jemisin

The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms | The Broken Kingdoms | The Kingdom of Gods

The Locked Tomb by Tamsyn Muir

Gideon the Ninth | Harrow the Ninth | Alecto the Ninth

Ninefox Gambit | Raven Stratagem | Revenant Gun

Mead Mishaps by Kimberly Lemming

That Time I Got Drunk and Saved a Demon | That Time I Got Drunk and Yeeted a Love Potion at a Demon | That Time I Got Drunk and Saved a Human

I highly recommend this silly series for both fantasy and romcom lovers. They are quick, fun reads that made me laugh and can be read as standalones or in sequence.

Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson

The Final Empire | The Well of Ascension | The Hero of Ages*

*May or may not continue with series after main trilogy

Monstress by Marjorie M. Lui

Awakening | The Blood | Haven | The Chosen | Warchild | The Vow | Devourer | Inferno

I was delightfully surprised by how much I loved this strange and bewitching horror-fantasy graphic novel series about war and survival.

The Murderbot Diaries by Martha Wells

All Systems Red | Artificial Condition | Rogue Protocol | Exit Strategy | Network Effect | Fugitive Telemetry | System Collapse

You would think that a futuristic sci-fi series with the term “Murderbot” would be a bit more grim than these comedic novellas following the mishaps and adventures of a rogue security unit.

The Poppy War by R.F. Kuang

The Poppy War | The Dragon Republic | The Burning God

The Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan

The Eye of the World | The Great Hunt | The Dragon Reborn | The Shadow Rising | The Fires of Heaven | Lord Chaos | A Crown of Swords | The Path of Daggers | Winter’s Heart | Crossroads of Twilight | Knife of Dreams | Gathering Storm* | Towers of Midnight* | A Memory of Light*
