Hello readers!
Another year with Word Wilderness has gone by, which means it’s time for Wyrd and Wonder the Fifth! As usual, I am ecstatic to be participating in my favorite blogging event. Unlike in previous years, I won’t be bothering with a TBR. I am a mood reader down to my very core, so there’s no use in trying to plan out my reading. Luckily, I’ve been planning ahead for the past month, so instead of a TBR, I can give you a sneak peek of what posts to expect from Word Wilderness this May.
Let the Fantastic Begin!
This year our Wyrd and Wonder hosts, Imyril, Lisa, and Jorie, have been joined by two more hosts: Ariana from The Book Nook and Annemieke from A Dance with Books. I definitely recommend checking out their sites for more info on Wyrd and Wonder, compilation posts from all of this year’s participants, or if you just want more cool book blogs to follow.
Wyrd and Wonder the Fifth Prompt Challenges and a Sneak Peek at My Plans
In honor of the fifth anniversary of Wyrd and Wonder, the hosts have decided to include an additional prompt challenge called the fantastic top fives. I’ve decided to post my top fives for each of those prompts in addition to a few from the original prompt challenge, so here’s when you can expect my posts:

You might have noticed that I didn’t schedule any reviews, and that’s intentional since I don’t know what I’ll end up reading yet. I’ll most likely end up posting 1-2 reviews, but even if I don’t my month is already full of other great posts.
Read-Along
Imyril and Lisa will both be hosting read-alongs this May, and I’ve decided to participate in the read-along for The Summer Tree by Guy Gavriel Kay. Imyril described the book as an epic portal fantasy combining Celtic and Norse mythology, which definitely sounds like an exciting read. Now, I don’t want to jinx anything, but the last two Wyrd and Wonder read-along picks ended up being 5-star reads so… Let’s just say I have high hopes for The Summer Tree!
I also didn’t include any of my read-along posts in my schedule above, because I won’t know how that’s going to go until I start reading the book. Maybe I’ll answer the read-along questions on Thursday? I guess we’ll see when the time comes.
That’s it for my plans! I’m so excited to get started it almost makes up for having to take finals in May.
Almost…
Will you be participating in Wyrd and Wonder the Fifth? What fantastic reads are you looking forward to? Let’s chat in the comments!

Yeay Peyton. I’m not scheduling in any reviews either ahead of time except one. Reading has just been that way so far this year haha. I think I might just combine the two readalong posts into one.
Yeah, I totally get you. I have to get through finals in the next two weeks so I don’t want to pressure myself into reading.
I’m excited for the readalong because of all the good things I’ve heard about Guy Gavriel Kay’s books. I have a good feeling that it’ll be a great read too like the other W&W books.
I’m excited too! I actually haven’t heard anything about Guy Gavriel Kay, so I’m kind of excited to go in blind and see what I think.
