Safe Harbor: Wyrd and Wonder 2025 Wrap Up

It’s time to say goodbye to Wyrd and Wonder 2025.

This year, I was a little surprised at how much I was able to participate. April was a busy month for me, so when I hadn’t even started the readalong book, Voyage of the Damned by Frances White, almost a week into May, I worried I wouldn’t be able to post much. Luckily Voyage of the Damned turned out to be a fast paced read and I found a couple prompts that got my writing wheels turning. The only post that didn’t make it in time was my review of The Bone Ships by RJ Barker (although I did finish the book today!).

As always, I had so much fun celebrating fantasy with other bloggers. Lets see everything that happened this Wyrd and Wonder.

For those just tuning in: Wyrd and Wonder is an annual month-long fantasy celebration held every May. This year’s hosts are Imyril with There’s Always Room for One More, Lisa with Dear Geek Place, Jorie with Jorie Loves a Story, Annemieke with A Dance with Books, and Ariana with The Book Nook.

What Did I Read This Month?

  1. The Winter King by C.L. Wilson
  2. Voyage of the Damned by Frances White
  3. The Bone Ships (The Tide Child #1) by RJ Barker

By far, my favorite I read this month was The Bone Ships!

What’s happening next?

For the next week or two (hopefully just one) I need to do a little blog maintenance. I’m going to take a break during June and start up my biweekly posting schedule again starting June 28th.

I’ve never heard of The Winter King, but that cover is Stunning!

I love the cover! It’s a fun arranged marriage fantasy romance that feels a bit like a Cinderella and Beauty and the Beast mashup (not a retelling, just the vibes)

It was one of those books that I was saving because I knew I would love the series and want to read it all at once, and it definitely met expectations! I finished book 2 now and am getting ready to start #3!
